The good.........and the not so good.

We had this lovely email this morning……

“I don’t usually feel moved to write to campsite owners, but we have just spent one of the best weekends in Fforest Fields and would like to thank you for all your hard work in creating a perfect site: everything is so orderly in a relaxed way and you seem to manage to keep smiling despite the drain drama! We have told lots of friends about the site already and hope to be back soon to enjoy some more roasting hot Welsh sun!!!
Thanks, Lucy and family.” What a joy to receive, thank you Lucy and family for taking the time to write and say how much you had enjoyed your stay.

And the bad…….. someone had taken the Air Ambulance tin  The first time ever……. b>:XXs

I can relate so well to enjoyment the other campers had, Katie and you deserve every credit given to you. As returning camper I have never seen so dedicated and devoted campsite owners with such love for what they can supply to their campers as I have seen you and George (and the lads!) do.

Like you I am appalled by the theft of the ambulance tin. Nothing is as bad as losing trust in people and theft of this, which is helping a community, is always a shock when it happens and is a damage to society even if only local. People in need depend on the helicopter and they can use all lose pounds & pennies!
I do hope you don't lose your open characters and trust in people just because one selfish person couldn't keep his mitts to him- or herself.

In just over three weeks, I will try and donate in the new kitty; I might even bring it myself.. ;-)

Dear John, Thank you for your lovely comments. It certainly won't change our attitude, it's them I feel sorry for, not us. What a stupied person to take a few quid from a charity box. Signe des temps, I'm afraid. It is a fly-by-night opportunist, certainly NOT a camper. We have lovely visitors to Fforest Fields, always a joy to meet old and new faces.
On another note, I think it's going to be 'phew what a scorcher' today!!

Hi Katie
There is always one, what a very mean person.(What comes round goes round.)We like the good old way you trust us to pay for things we need i could never do somthing like that all down to the way we are brought up.stealing from a charity how low can they get. Please keep faith in all us honest folk.
Carol.

Hi Katie.

How sorry I am to hear of the theft. As you say it's him/her you feel sorry for. I agree with the others comments on trust.Tina and I were amazed when we first visited you. Tina could not believe how trusting you were. I believe she even put in extra in the box when we had stuff.

On a lighter note I have convinced her we should be at the site tomorrow night and not Saturday morning.Probably be there about 6.30/7.00. Looking forward to catching up with you.

Be Safe.
