What a lovely day - 'bout time too!

It’s been lovely here today; it’s looked like it was going to rain a couple of times and we’ve had spits and spots but it’s stayed clear. It’s getting a bit chilly now though, sun still shining brightly into my office. Fingers tightly crossed for a good weekend. It sounds as if it is at least going to be warmer.

Oh! I so agree, it's been a miserable start to the year. I hear that quite a lot of sites are waterlogged, we picked up several caravanners who were staying on one near Malvern that was under water. Such a horrid thing for both the site and the camper to have to cancel over a bank holiday. Looking forward to seeing you.

I suggest you'd get the charcoal out of the shed, the BBQ all brushed up and the lamb chops, Cumberland sausages, Anglesey potatoes with garlic butter in tinfoil ready as I have, to prepare for the coming weekend of lush, warm spring sun, relaxing, nibbling away through the day. Nice glass of rosé or perhaps something with a bit more of a "bite" into the evening...

I also hope you have enough cement blocks to put under the BBQ's to protect the grass on site, Katie; as Judy and I have planned a lot of these grilled dindins that are ever so good and healthy...

See you in just under four weeks!

We are fired up and ready for your visit John! There was quite a lot of merrymaking at Fforest Fields last night, although a short sharp shower of rain at about 10 o'clock cut some of the parties a bit short. Time is passing so quickly and hopefully when you get here we really will have discovered what Spring, or even Summer, can feel like!
